Media Lie: Ammon joined BLM

Friend, 

Part of leadership is getting people to do things that they normally would not do on their own, right?  Well, I have never been a fan of telling people what to do. However, asking people is something I do often. Helping them understand why they should act is something I try to do as well. Good leadership comes when people act because they trust and honor the leader, not fear them or want to get something from them.  

So I have something that I'm going to ask you to do!


A good friend of mine said, “I never defend myself against what people say about me unless they are attacking my character”. He then said, “I defend it with vigor!”

For several years a lie has been told about me that I have tried to ignore. I did not take my friend’s advice and vigorously defended my character. I felt like it was not worth my time and that God knew the truth and that was all that mattered.

Now that I am running for Governor as one of the leading candidates, this lie is being used more and more. Governor or not I would like to set the record straight.

What is this lie? Well it is that sometime in the past I joined Black Lives Matter. You may have heard this lie as well. "Ammon Bundy joined the BLM". This is coming from the same media that said Trump gave money to the Chinese government and colluded with Russia to help him get elected.

Now again, maybe I should not be upset about the lie or try to combat it. But as you most likely know Black Lives Matter is a wicked, Marxist, communist organization that deceives its members and destroys black people's lives.

They hate Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. 's I have a dream speech. I love that speech and have studied it along with other writings of Martin Luther King, Jr. My favorite is a letter he wrote when he was in Birmingham City Jail, which I first read when I too was in jail and suffering greatly as an innocent man. But the Black Lives Matter leaders hate Martin Luther King, Jr. They teach their members just the opposite. They teach them that the color of their skin is all that matters, not the content of a person's character.  

Anyway, let me set the record straight, then I am going to ask you to do something!

In 2020 I helped organize people in Coeur d’ Alene to stand in front of businesses when Black Lives Matter was marching through the city. Shortly after that I organized people in Boise to do the same thing. As far as we know, no BLM protesters in Idaho damaged any private businesses. As you know Black Lives Matter continued to organize demonstrations in Boise almost weekly. This was the same time the People’s Rights Network was growing by several thousand people every week and acting in defense of people’s rights all over the country.

Around this time, some confused patriots in Idaho were going to the BLM protests, hitting and spitting on the Black Lives Matter demonstrators when they were protesting. One of the BLM people on Facebook said, “If you were truly about protecting people's rights then you should help protect ours as well.” After verifying the facts, I agreed and decided to take a Lavoy Finicum sign and go to their next protest in Boise and confront those infringing upon the right to peaceably assemble. When the BLM leadership found out about me planning to come they said "I was not welcome". I responded that "I didn't really want to come anyway" and I never went. A far cry from joining Black Lives Matter, right?

However, I would have you known that I would have gone that day to stand for everyone's right to peaceably assemble. I always try to stand on correct principles, not politics. In the past I have stood for all types of people's rights, even those that hate me and want to destroy my family.

Now that you know the rest of the story, I am asking that you help me combat this lie. Never in any way would I join an organization that intentionally is destroying freedom. It is contrary to my nature. I would however, any day, stand for a person’s constitutionally protected rights, even if I don’t agree with them.

So, what I am asking you to do, is to print this email off and share it, forward it to those you know, cut and paste the parts of this email that you think are important and post them on social media. Do a video if you’re comfortable. Dare to stand for me as I have for many others.

Together, I am sure we will set the narrative straight just as we already have with other lies. The momentum our campaign is experiencing now is significant and we don't want a blatant lie to slow it down.
